Agenda
- Task: Writing Database Views
- As described in yesterday’s class, today’s class is a full working period for your group to use the driver-navigator pattern to create a database view, related model files, and a view model.
- Your goal today should be to get at least one user interface view (screen), within your group’s app pulling live data from your group’s database.
- In our first class next week, each student will then apply the same process to, individually, make another screen within your group’s app show live data.
- We will also review College Board requirements for the AP Create Task and look at a complete exemplar.
IMPORTANT
Your code contribution to the group effort that you will submit to the College Board must be completed by the start of class next Thursday, April 16, 2026.
In that class on Thursday, each student will submit their work to the College Board. You will then have the rest of the class to prepare for Friday’s in-class writing evaluation where you will explain how arrays and functions are used in the code you wrote for your group’s app.

Things to do before our next class
- Make further progress on your contribution to the group software project – remember to continue to use good source control practices.
TIP
You and the members of your group have the option of coming to room 6 this Sunday afternoon between 1 and 4 PM to get a head start on the work that needs to be completed for this course before the end of the mod.
If you get that work done on Sunday, Mr. Gordon will allow you to, as desired, work on tasks from other courses during Computer Science class time on Tuesday and Wednesday.
